Privacy policy

The short version

mydealHQ ships four Chrome extensions: My Deal Verifier, Bundle Risk Checker, Shipping Trap Checker, and Bulk Supplier Opportunity Scanner. They run locally in your browser. We don't track you, we don't sell your browsing history, and we don't have an account system unless you buy a paid license.

What the extensions read

My Deal Verifier reads pages on eBay, Mercari US (www.mercari.com), and Buyee.jp — which covers three Japanese sources: Mercari Japan, JDirectItems Auction (Yahoo Auctions), and JDirectItems Fleamarket (PayPay Fleamarket). Future extensions in the toolkit may support additional marketplaces. The extensions extract listing details (titles, prices, conditions) so they can score the listing for you. They do not read pages on any other site.

What leaves your device

For My Deal Verifier specifically, anonymous price queries are sent to a backend proxy at api.mydealhq.com, which talks to eBay's public Browse API to fetch comparable sold-listing prices. These queries contain only the search keywords needed to find comps. No personal information, no IP-level tracking, no browsing history.

The other three extensions run entirely locally. Nothing leaves your device.

Settings storage

Your preferences (mode, shipping profiles, ROI thresholds, license key, etc.) are stored in chrome.storage.sync, which Chrome syncs across your own signed-in Chrome instances. We never see this data.

If you buy a license

Paid licenses are processed by Stripe. We receive your email address (so we can send you the license key) and a unique customer ID. We never see your card number — Stripe handles that. Your email is used only for license delivery, important account notices, and (only if you opt in) product update emails.

Affiliate links

My Deal Verifier wraps outbound links to eBay listings with an eBay Partner Network affiliate ID. If you click through and buy something, we earn a small commission from eBay at no cost to you. This is how the Free tier stays free. The wrapping happens at click time and is fully transparent — view source on any link to see it.

No analytics inside the extensions

The extensions themselves contain no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting. The mydealhq.com marketing site uses privacy-friendly aggregate analytics (no cookies, no fingerprinting) to count page views.

Children

The extensions and site are not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will also be announced inside the extension.
